On July 15, 2025, at the headquarters of Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACV – Mr. Vu The Phiet – welcomed and had a working session with a delegation from SF Group (China). Leading the SF Group delegation were Mr. Raymond Yeung, Chief Strategy Officer of SF Group; Mr. Wang Yao Hui, Deputy General Director of S.F. Express Limited and other leaders from SF Express Co., Ltd.

Overview of the working session

SF Group is currently the leading comprehensive express logistics service provider in China and the fourth-largest express delivery company in the world. With a professional operational system, SF Group currently operates a cargo terminal at Ezhou Huahu Airport – China's first dedicated cargo airport, which serves as a hub for domestic and international cargo transit.

During the working session, the two parties exchanged information, shared strategic directions, and expressed their desire to enhance cooperation in the field of air cargo transportation and the development of a modern logistics system in Vietnam.

Recently, SF Airlines – an airline under SF Group – has continuously expanded its flight network in the Asian region, including cargo routes connecting Shenzhen with Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with Ezhou. Vietnam is considered by SF Group to be one of the key markets with significant potential for development and a priority destination in its long-term investment and cooperation strategy. In particular, representatives from SF Group expressed deep interest in the Long Thanh International Airport project – Vietnam's new international airport set to begin operations in 2026, with the vision of becoming a major air logistics hub in the region.

On ACV's side, Chairman Vu The Phiet emphasized the importance of developing air cargo transport in the coming period. He stated that ACV is concentrating on a strategic priority on the air logistics sector at the airports it manages, especially Long Thanh International Airport. ACV also expressed its desire to learn from SF Group's experience in building and operating modern logistics systems, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's aviation industry on the regional and global stage.

This meeting between ACV and SF Group not only opens up specific cooperation opportunities between the two parties but also creates a solid foundation for promoting information sharing, technology transfer, and international experience in the logistics and air cargo transport sectors.
