On 29th April 2016, the signing ceremony of cooperate agreement on ensuring Aeronautical Information Service between Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) and Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) took place at the headquarter of Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM).
Participants from Airports Corporation of Vietnam comprised of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duong – Deputy General Director of ACV, representatives of Airport Operation Department, Noi Bai International Airport, Da Nang International Airport and Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Participants from Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation included Mr. Le Quoc Khanh – Deputy General Director of VATM, representatives of Air Traffic Department, Aeronautical information Center and regional air traffic management companies.
The signing ceremony of cooperate agreement on ensuring Aeronautical Information Service
Signing this agreement is aimed at ensuring to provide aeronautical information service and technical assurance of aeronautical information service (AIS) system.
By virtue of signed cooperate agreement shall facilitate to communicate, provide relevant aeronautical information in order for the operation of airports under ACV; aeronautical information service of VATM; technical assurance of AIS system placed at air traffic services reporting office – aeronautical information office at airports.
Center of aeronautical information – (VATM) shall provide Airport Operation Department, airports and relevant units of ACV with components of Integrated aeronautical information package; aeronautical information/data, diagram/chart and other products at request and agreed in detail as well as support in AIS training, sharing and best practices.
Airports under ACV shall provide VATM with information related to airports announced in Vietnam AIP and other aeronautical information publication; information regarding infrastructure, runway, taxiway, apron, navigation facilities, etc. under the management of ACV; measurement results of airport coordinates and obstacle information under the management of ACV within airport areas.
Signing this material shall meet the requirements of aligning information thoroughly between ACV and VATM in every period, establish database for assurance of accuracy and information automation for every flight, prevent human interference in the initial data, and collaterally create mechanism of closed cooperation of the two parties.
The initial result of signing this document is aimed at regulating liabilities for relevant parties regarding providing aeronautical information service. Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation is the representative authority to collect and provide airlines with aeronautical information, data and proceed to implement the convertible strides to aeronautical information management (AIM) pursuant to ICAO itinerary.
After the signing ceremony, once the agreement enters into effect, the two parties shall implement the following steps for 3 regions, such as training on information collecting procedures, on the job training, etc.
