I .Identification papers:

1.  Passengers traveling on international flights must present their passport, Travel documents or immigration documents in accordance with Vietnamese Law on entry, exit such as loose-leaf visa, permanent residence card, temporary residence card, and identity card. (If Vietnam and the relevant country sign a treaty or international agreement allowing citizens of the signatory country to use citizenship cards instead of using passports In each other’s territories, hereinafter referred to as papers that are valid for entry and exit according to regulations)

– In case your children does not have a separate passport, their full name, date of birth and photo to be available in the passport of the legitimate representative, including: birth father, birth mother, adoptive father, adoptive mother or guardian.

2. Passengers from 14 years old and above traveling on Vietnam domestic flights must present:

*Foreigner:

National Passport; Travel Document, Loose - leaf Visa, Permanent residence card, temporary residence card, Driving license, Vietnam Aviation Security control card with long – term validity, Vietnamese airlines identity card.

In case of passport loss, a diplomatic note certifying personal identification and passport loss with portrait pictures and stamp is required. Diplomatic note is valid within 30 days from the date of confirmation.

*Vietnamese: One of the following documents must be presented:

Passport or Travel Document, Loose - leaf Visa, Permanent residence card, temporary residence card, Identity card, Announcement of the Armed Forces Certification, National Council membership card, Party membership card, Journalist card, Driver's license, Airport security control card with long-term validity, National Security Aviation Committee card, Vietnamese airlines Identity card, Certifying personal identification form by local police or authorities citing passenger‘s permanent residence or temporary residence. A certificate of the competent authority certifying the passenger is the person who has just served the judgment. Above certifying forms must be attached with stamped portrait picture and shall be valid within 30 days from the date of confirmation (Certifying personal identification form-download here)

3. Passengers under 14 years old who do not have separate passports or accompany their parents’ passports when traveling on domestic flights must present:

- Birth certificate; Birth certificate certification (For babies under 1 month)

-Birth certificate certification by a social organization for children under the patronage of that organization (valid only for 6 months from the date of certification).

4. The passenger is an inmate, the accused, the person being removed, extradited or deported

Only need to present documents from the competent authority proving the escort; the escort passenger presents the documents specified in point 1 and 2 -Section I above.

5. Travel documents used when traveling in an aircraft specified in Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 must meet the following conditions:

- Be the original and still valid

- Birth certificate, Birth Certifying Form must be the original or an authenticated copy must be notarized by law

6. At the tickets counter or check-in counter and on the website of the airlines, the regulations of travel documents must be public.

II. Tickets, boarding passes

1. When flying, passengers must present their tickets and boarding passes of the issuing airline.

2. Tickets and boarding passes must contain the following information:

a) Ticket number

b) Full name of the passenger

c) Flight number

d) Flight route;

e) Code (code) of each passenger.
