Within the framework of working agenda program from 1-4 December ,2022 in Vietnam of the Department of Civil Aviation,Lao PDR (DCAL) delegation led by Mr. Viengxay Singkham, Director of DCAL at the invitation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), a warm, collaborative meeting between Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Airports of Laos (AOL) was held at Noi Bai International Airport (NIA). 

It was a great pleasure to welcome all delegates from ACV, AOL and NIA joining this meeting, especially the esteemed guests, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong – Member of ACV Board of Management, Mr. Bountaeng Symoon – Director of AOL and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan – Deputy Director of NIA.

During the meeting, AOL expressed greatest appreciation to ACV ‘s contributions throughout years. ACV has provided many aviation conferences between 2016-2019; created professional training courses for AOL delegations at Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Noi Bai International Airport; sharing experience on the flight safety system for AOL delegation at Tan Son Nhat International Airport; exchanged information needed to help speeding up the resumption of scheduled flights between Vietnam and Lao.

In the coming time, AOL-AOT will continue strengthening the existing cooperation relationship.  At the same time, actively exchange information related to SAA renewal; promote new commercial routes between two countries; create training programmes to improve airport operations process and services; and plan to visit AOL in a certain time.

Airports Corporation of Laos (AOL), formerly Laos Airports Authority (LAA), ACV signed the Sister Airport Agreement (SAA) with AOL in 2015 on the basis of inheritance and  promote the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
