On October 23, 2020, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) was honored to receive the prestigious Corporate Excellence, Asia – Pacific Enterprise Awards (APEA) for the third consecutive year in 14th APEA ceremony.

With the theme of “Driving economic growth to break all limits and challenges”, the prestigious APEA 2020 welcomed over 200 leading business representatives, enterprise associations’ leaders and diplomatic officials.  

Initiation since 2007, the Asia-Pacific Enterprise Awards has been a world-class award recognizing and honoring business leaders who have shown outstanding performance and tenacity in developing successful businesses within the region.

APEA provides a platform for companies and governments to recognize and be recognized for entrepreneurial excellence, hence spurring greater innovation, fair practices and growth in entrepreneurship.

As a regional award, APEA will be able to group together leading entrepreneurs across the region, as a powerful voice for entrepreneurs and a crème-of-the-crop networking opportunity. Today, the award has expanded to 14 countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Thailand, India, China etc. across Asia.

And, ACV proudly to be the award winner the third year in a row. There is nothing more gratifying than recognition from Enterprise Asia for all ACV’s remarkable achievements over the years.

At ACV, we are investing, managing and operating 22 airports across Vietnam, including 9 international and 13 domestic ones. Throughout the years, ACV’s business performances and activities constantly maintained a high and sustainable growth rate along with absolute safety and security in airports and persistent service quality for all customers, actively contributing to the socio-economic development and national defense.

In 2019, ACV fully complied with proper aviation standards to serve over 116 million passengers, equaled a 12 percent increase from 2018, in which 41.7 million international passengers and 74.3 million domestic passengers. In addition, its advanced infrastructures and facilities promoted the record of 1,541 million tons, increased 2.1 percent compared to the previous year, and facilitated its airports to accommodate 748,395 aircraft movements, reaching 107.9 percent of the year plan and increasing by 14.8 percent from the 2018.

From the beginning of 2020 and amid the severity of Covid-19, ACV has drastically implemented variety measures to prevent the pandemic in accordance with the directions of the Government, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 control and prevention, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to ensure the utmost safety travel corridors to passengers and employee.

ACV airports has closely cooperated with airlines and relevant authorities to conduct the Code of Safe Practice in operation during Covid-19 and Safety Operational Procedure for Passengers in Covid-19 in order to create the sureness for passenger in aviation services, and together with the whole country actively achieve the “dual goals” of the Government including pandemic eradication and national social-economic development.

ACV is currently concentrating all resources to facilitate major projects, especially new T3 Passenger Terminal of Tan Son Nhat int’l airport, T2 Passenger Terminal expansion of Noi Bai int’l airport, new T2 Passenger Terminal of Phu Bai int’l airport, etc. In addition, apron expansion projects at frequent operational airports such as Noi Bai int’l airport, Tan Son Nhat int’l airport, Da Nang int’l airport, Cam Ranh int’l airport, Lien Khuong airport, Cat Bi int’l airport, Vinh int’l airport and Phu Bai int’l airport are proactively boosted. Particularly, ACV is contemplated to accelerate entire abilities to carry out the first phase of Long Thanh international airport project once winning the project owner approval from the Government.

With regards to upgrading airport infrastructure, ACV actively promotes the application of information technology in governance and management. In particular, ACV successfully installed and putted into operation non-stop toll systems for 21 airports, additionally, equipped specific aviation information management systems for those airports. Especially, Airport Collaborative Decision-Making System is in the process of execution for ACV airports. And together with well-trained, dedicated and professional employees, ACV constantly improves and upgrade service quality in order to provide passengers with enjoyable, unique and comfortable experiences.
