From April 24 to May 5, 2021, Gia Lai Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Disease Control and Prevention organized the second round of Covid-19 vaccination for the frontline anti-epidemic force including 127 employees of Pleiku Airport and 86 employees from relevant units working at the Airport.

The vaccination must strictly comply with the instructions, regulations and procedures for vaccination of the Ministry of Health to ensure that employees have safely vaccinated against COVID-19.

Pleiku Airport has cooperated closely with Gia Lai Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Disease Control and Prevention as well as Hospital 331 to quickly roll out vaccination but still ensuring an effective personnel allocation to serve flight operations at the Airport.

Currently, Pleiku Airport handles 22 flights with over 3.000 passengers per day. COVID-19 vaccination not only protects airport staff health but also contributes to pandemic prevention in Gia Lai province as well as builds passenger confidence passing through Pleiku Airport, especially during the upcoming national holidays of Reunification Day and May Day.

Pleiku Airport has well implemented anti-epidemic measures in accordance with the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and ACV, coordinating with the relevant authorities of Gia Lai province to prevent and control the pandemic locally.
