Tan Son Nhat International Airport and other relevant units have drastically put many epidemic prevention and control measures into practice as well as complied with passenger service processes to ensure the health and safety of passengers and airport staff.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport has joined in ACI’s Assessment Program on professional excellence in maintaining safe hygiene, and safe operation during Covid at airports so as to be issued AHA (Airport Health Accreditation)- a recognition for health and safety measures at airports according to ICAO global guidance.

Currently, Tan Son Nhat International Airport placed visual reminders of appropriate spacing on terminals and security checkpoints as well as acrylic barriers to prevent respiratory droplet transmission at domestic check-in counters and 30 international check-in counters. Moreover, the Airport also coordinated with SASCO to arrange the Apricot Room to serve international passengers who are not eligible for entry for fees.

With the aim of preparing to resume international commercial routes and increasing international flight frequency, the Airport has agreed on specifications with the International Health Quarantine Center of Ho Chi Minh City to continue to equip 04 new standard medical check kiosks and 90 additional acrylic barriers at the rest of the AB, CD, EF, GH and I international check-in counters.

In addition, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has collaborated with the International Medical Quarantine Center of Ho Chi Minh City to implement the frequency and intensity of cleaning and disinfecting of terminal infrastructure and aircrafts in terminal public areas and frequently touched surfaces such as seating areas, elevators, escalators, jetways, touch screens, water fountains, toilets, doorknobs, handrails, tabletops, and guest seats.

In compliance with social distancing, Tan Son Nhat International Airport equipped guidelines for physical distancing and check-in queues along with broadcasting and deploying via FIDS so as to require passengers to wear masks, use hand sanitizers and keep physical distance. Furthermore, passengers must have temperature check and wash their hands with antiseptic agents when departures and arrivals at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
