Tan Son Nhat international airport will deploy traffic separation from November 14, 2020, applying for both international and domestic terminals.

In order to enhance the service capability, to ensure service quality as well as to mitigate traffic congestion at arrival and departure terminals, Tan Son Nhat international airport has coordinated with relevant units including the Municipal Department of Transport, Transport Inspection Department, Traffic Police Division, Police of Tan Binh District to install the road signs, define the appropriate lanes, prohibition signs, and instruction signs for drivers to catch up and operate the vehicles properly as follows:

1. Departure domestic terminal:

  • Lane A will be only applied for vehicles arriving at the airport with appropriate signboards. 

2. Arrival domestic terminal:

  • Lane B and Lane C will be extended for passenger pick-up vehicles, except for taxi and transport business vehicles with “No taxi and transport business vehicles” sign.
  • Lane D in TCP parking will be only reserved for taxi and transport business vehicles, with “Lane for car” and “Lane for taxi and business vehicles” signboards.
  • Vehicles over 25 seats will be instructed to hop-on and hop-off passengers at outdoor designated areas in front of the TCP parking.
  • Bus station for both international and domestic passengers shall be at lane B, pole No.12

3. International terminal

At Departures and Arrivals

  • Lane A: 16-seat vehicles only
  • Lane B: only for over 16-seat vehicles and taxis only

4. Notice:

All vehicles must stop to pick up/drop off passengers maximum of 03 minutes. The lanes have installed surveillance systems with fixed cameras to record illegally parked/stopped vehicles for fine payments.

To mitigate traffic congestion in front of the domestic terminal, it is encouraged that passengers should park their vehicles at the TCP parking before entering the terminal.
